Embrace Change: It's Here


This letter comes to you from the pen of Fitrition owner Keith Fine.


Change…change…change…Is there a better word to describe 2020 so far? As we navigate through change, it’s good for us to remember that change in and of itself is neither good nor bad. It is an inevitable happening in our environment that is somewhat out of our control. What is in our control is our perspective as we go through change. Do we embrace negativity and feel like a victim, or do we positively seek the opportunity we’re being given? Our attitude and efforts are our responsibilities, and they largely determine what type of future the current changes lead us to. Our purpose is to strive with excellence as we become more of that which we were created to be. Render to Ceasar that which is Ceasar’s, and render to God that which is God’s. As we head into next week, I want to share with you where these changes are taking Fitrition. These changes might be temporary…but they also might be the new normal for us. As we consider these changes, it has been the mission of our staff to consider what will be the best service delivery for our clientele as we meet the safety standards set by the state and county. We are aiming to run a sustainable business, not just for the short term, but for the long haul. The RULES We can OPEN! As soon as Monday we are cleared to be open as a fitness facility. NO SICK PEOPLE ALLOWED: clients of staff…in any capacity…for any reason. NO SHARING: space and equipment for individual use only. DISINFECT AND CLEAN: between each session…staff and client contribution. The PROCESS (until the end of June at least) Limited number of spaces and equipment for participants. This will affect the times we offer sessions (change). We will offer 90 minute blocks for sessions versus 60 minute blocks. This gives us the best way to offer you an environment to come into, socialize (at a distance!) with your workout buddies, get instructions from your coach, get set up, warmed up and worked out, cool down, help with clean up and get out before the next session begins without feeling rushed, all while maintaining above par social distancing and cleaning standards. The OPPORTUNITY I’ll be sharing a survey for you to complete. Please do so promptly. The questions are simple, and their answers will help us resume service smoothly. As of Monday, we are allowed to be open. However, we will not open for sessions untill Wednesday. We still have a bit of work to do in preparation of our ‘new normal’ service delivery plan. We need to receive your survey, schedule placements, communicate schedule confirmations, get back all equipment that was loaned out, clean all equipment, make sure the facility is set up and the workouts are written up in the best way we can to meet standards and deliver excellent service! We will be working hard to get this ready ASAP, help us out by getting us your completed survey! Thank you for your patience and support.
